Plant-based PLA deli take out containers are a great alternative to petroleum-based products. MVI ECOPACK disposable deli container is made from cornstarch – PLA. 100% biodegradable, food contact safety, freezer safe, not microwavable, and will commercially compost within 90-120 days. Our PLA deli containers are certified compostable by BPI.

The full name for PLA is Poly Lactic Acid. The lactic acid comes from cornstarch and is completely biobased. The material is strong and transparent. As light and strong as plastic, but it is different from plastic, PLA is environmentally friendly material.
