MVI ECOPACK single-seal structure paper straw requires unique quality inspections. Tests include: 1. Water absorption test (To ensure the straw will last in drinks for not less than 3 hours.) Immerse straw paper in water Record weight gain against time intervals 2. Binding edge evaluation (To ensure the binding edge is firmly sealed) Immerse straw in 85°C water Check for any breakage along the binding edge 3. 75% alcohol resistance test (To ensure the printed surface is isolated from drinks) Rub the printed surface with 75% alcohol for 10X. Our single layer recyclable paper straws are made by WBBC paper (water-based barrier coated) paper. It is a plastic-free coating on paper. The coating can provide paper with oil and water resistance and heat-sealing properties. The kind of coating will replace most fossil and biopolymer coatings on paper cups in the future. Our materials contain Paper and water-based coating only.
